Nursing: Second Thoughts?

I have just figured out how to activate my comments setting—horray! J It should be working now. I would really like to get some feedback from this post. The subject is nursing—what do you think about this field?

I love the field of nursing and am currently enrolled in some nursing prerequisite classes and have even begun volunteering at a near-by hospital. I really thought this would be my direction; however, there are many road-blocks. The nursing prerequisites classes are FULL! I have just 4 more classes to take but unfortunately, I been wait-listed for all of them. Who knows when I’ll get into these classes! It is the same story for schools even outside of Washington State. In addition, once I get through these prerequisites, there is a significant chance that my application to nursing school will be wait-listed for a while—months, years…? Schools are not able to keep up with the demand for nursing majors. Yes, the government is involved with this. Lastly, my Associates Degree counts for nothing within the scope of nursing. I think out of my 60 completed credits, only 9-12 are transferrable.

Does anyone out there have any advice? What is the nursing education like in your part of the country? Is this field one that is truly worth the educational wait?

Others areas that peak my interest are Communications/Advertising, and International Relations with an emphasis on International Banking. I used to be interested in Elementary Education until I enrolled as a substitute—no way! Especially not in a democratic voting state! Ha! J

I would love to hear from you all on this subject.

"How To Clean A Wound" By Pastor Kendrick

Thank God for preaching. I am so glad that Gospel Lighthouse has put Pastor Kendrick's messages online. I grew up under Pastor Kendrick's ministry in Lompoc, California. He remains one of my most favorite preachers. His message "How to Clean A Wound" is what I am listening to right now. I came to the library to work on my Anatomy and Physiology homework and well...I took a little break to listen to this message...and well... I am trying not to cry here in this public library. Ha!:)) If you have some time, visit http://www.gospellighthouselpc.com/ to listen. Thanks Gospel Lighthouse for uploading these messages. I miss you all.

Song Of The Week: Your Name

Your Name sung by Inidiana Bible College is an incredible song--I love it! I got to hear it at IBC during their music conference back in April. I have been waiting for it to air on YouTube! :)) This song is not complicated--for piano or vocals. I got the muscians packet for this song--its in G! Yeay!:)) Excellent choir song. We did it in Texas this summer and it worked! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have...
