Desperation Band Here In Your Presence

While I was travelling with my parents in January, a church sang this song. I had never heard it before but the words really touched me. There is nothing I want more than the Presence of God in my life.

Desserts

Somehow studying makes me hungry! :)) Before I started in on another round of standard deviation calculations, I stopped by the grocery store yesterday. Um, I bought uh, pistacio pudding, strawberry cake mix, frozen chocolate chip cookie dough, and coffee almond fudge ice cream. HAHAH! :)) Truth be told, we are have a bake sale this weekend at church to raise money for missions. I will not be consuming all those desserts. :))

Pray For The Webers

Mom and Dad

Mom and Dad
Bro. and Sis. Howell, our foreign mission leaders who have always encouraged us to continue reaching the lost in Brazil, to keep our focus, and to press forward!

Bro. DeMerchant, our regional supervisor who is a missionary to be admired

As my parents deputize here in the USA various issues within their church in Brazil have arisen--issues they cannot resolve over a 6000 mile distance. Please pray for my parents and Bro. DeMerchant as they travel down to Curitiba together next month to try to un-do some of the damage that has been done to our building and to our people. Pray that my parents will be able to get the support they need to return to the field quickly. They are projected to travel until the end of the year. We can only pray that the damage that was done in their 5-month absence will not resubmerge during their next 8-month absence.

My Grandmas

I love my grandmas! My Grandmother Hurtt (mom's mom) came to Washington this past week to visit her sister who is recovering from some health issues. We got to see my Gramma H on Tuesday and had dinner together. We wish G and G Hurtt would get a summer home in Washington so they could visit more often! :))
Uncle George and Aunt Nancy, Lori, Me, Alana, Gramma H

I have to say in this post that Uncle George and Aunt Nancy lived in China for several years as English school teachers in the International School in Beijing. They have some incredible stories to tell!

Me and my Grandma Weber having tea together. I only have to work half-days on Fridays. She picked me up and took me to this lovely lunch! So yummy! ~ Oh yes and I am excited for my Grandpa Weber who was recently called back to work at his doctor's office--they needed another on call doctor! We are very happy that the doctor is back in! :)) My G and G Weber now have a blog so you can follow their adventures: HappyWebers.blogspot.com

Loiras

Quem pode chegar aqui pra me ajudar?” Uma loira timida subiu ate a plataforma. O lider perguntou, “o que eh 15 mais 15?” Ela respondeu, "uh 18!" A loira comecou a chorar a o povo comecou a gritar bem alto essa vez, “DA PRA ELA MAIS UMA CHANCE!” O lider dai, meio perplexo, perguntou “o que eh 2 mais 2?” A loira fechou seus olhos, e depois de um minute de etenidade disse, “4?” O povo se levantou, comecou bater seus pehs, e GRIIIIIITOU, “DA PRA ELA MAIS UMA CHANCE!!!!”

HAHAHAHAHAAHAH!:))

Porque loiras tem que trabalhar 7 dias por semana? Para evitar re-treinamento na segunda-feira

IBC Music Fest Report

This is my favorite picture from the conference!:)) Me and Jessica (Petty) DiGiovanni. She was so incredibly nice and I love her singing especially on Hosanna!!!

I was inspired this week at IBC Music Fest 2011! I am again motivated to practice new piano/organ/vocal techniques. I bought so, so, SO much new music and 2 giant music binders full of new choruses and choir songs. Yeeeayyy!!!! :)) So here we go...

Okay this is Rema Duncan, one of my favorite IBC praise team members of 2009. He was so super nice and is now starting a metro missions church in Chicago. He recently produced a cd and one of his songs was re-recorded by the IBC choir this year. This guy is super talented and I believe he will do great things for the Lord in Chicago!

Me and Joy Norris. She is an amazing choir director and has TONS of resources for children's musicals. This was taken right after her children's choir class.

Can't remember which song this is but the soloist was incredible!

The Choral Filing In

Cortt Chavis right before preaching an amazing message! Everyone loves his "Help Me" song

Quick Update

Okay this is a picture of me talking. Yes, I seem to forget to bring out my camera during all the best kodak moments because I'm usually too busy talking. I really am working on becoming a better listener! :)) So! Even though I had a very fun weekend, I once again, did not think to bring out my camera. Ho-hum. Maybe I should talk my sister into taking over the camera from now on.

On Saturday my grandfather invited his friends, the Skinners over for dinner. Mrs. Skinner is the former mayor of Sumner and best of all, she and Mr. Skinner brought over their Brasilian exchange student named Mari. Alana and I had a great time with Mari talking in Portuguese and exchanging stories about Brasil. She even came to church with us last night!
I am wrapping up another round of my 8-week classes. I finish Bibl 105 and Crisis 302 by Friday. I will have 10 days off and then I start Theo 104 and Statistics 201! AH! I am sooooooo scared of statistics. HELP!!!!!

1 More Week Until Music Conference! I LOVE Choirs!!!!

This is my car.
