Music 2014

May I introduce...the Gospel Lighthouse Choir...

The GPL choir has been together now for 1 year and has come a long way.  These singers have truly become a team and are singing so well together.  They have learned some difficult songs such as Power Filled With The Spirit, Let Your Anointing Fall On Me, Your Name, Dance All Over This House, We Still Believe, I Need Your Glory, I Won't Go Back, and more!  I am appreciative of all their hard work and dedication to the practices each Sunday at 5:30 PM!

If you are one who also works with singer teams and you're like me, you start looking for new music at the beginning of each year.  Here are some ideas of where to look...

I am looking to attend this music conference.  Check out http://www.pgpc.net/ for more info on the Synergy Music Conference in Pine Grove.

Sister Cooley sent me this flyer--Texas Bible College Higher Ground Music Conference.
Jeremiah Sibley will be a clinician this year--he is an outstanding piano player who conducts online piano classes:  www.BSHARPTRICKS.com

Being the supportive alumni that I am of Texas Bible College :))
TBC Live Recording...February 7th.  Their recording 2 years ago was terrific--I got a lot of good songs from their arrangements.  You can purchase on iTunes

Most music conferences have "absentee registration" available.  You can have the whole packet of new music PLUS any session lectures mailed to you.

Hope this inspires you to find new songs in 2014 for your singer groups.  Any questions, leave a comment...

Winter Heritage 2014

Hello Everyone!  I have returned.  Life is back to normal for me now that nursing school is over, my NCLEX test is over, and I am working.  I am able to freely travel once again.  SO  my sister and I, along with my parents, flew out to Dallas for Winter Heritage.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself...

Speakers this year:  Robert Davis, Homer Looper, Rodney Betts
US Airways

Love, Love, Love Dallas
We found a mirror by the elevator :))
Ran into the Crosswhites at conference--so nice to see these friends
Texas BBQ...
Yum!
The mirror
Alana and I got to praise sing--what a privilege
Anointed worship, life-changing preaching.

Every message spoke right to me.  I cried my eyeballs out after brother Betts' message on loving God.  I don't ever want to get to the place where I fall in love with all that Pentecost has to offer that I miss the point.  I want to be consecrated because I love God.

Lock-in time.  My dear friend Shauna and I.  Check out the website she designed: www. csfpc . com

Okay, I have to say that I really enjoyed the lock-in.  I was too busy enjoying myself that I didn't take any pictures.  Funny story:  Below is a picture of what I wore to the lock-in.  When I went up to the brother in charge of the volleyball game and told him I wanted to play his response was, "Oh NO, NO.  How can you play in ruffles?"  I wound up playing and I laughed so hard the entire time.  Oh man, those Texans are serious about winning.  Good thing we did.  See........ you can play in ruffles  :))
The Lock-in ended at 2 AM.  We left for the DFW airport at 3:30 AM.  I haven't slept in over 48 hours.  I think Ill call it a night...
