Colorado Trip

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO

Alana and I took a trip together to sight-see and enjoy some life-changing services at Heritage Pentecostal Church in Colorado Springs.  I love Colorado and the scenery never gets old no matter how many times I visit.  It is a beautiful state.

Our rental car = Alana's dream car = Mustang Convertible

Started day 1 with a big breakfast from Cracker Barrel.  They have the best biscuits and gravy!  We drove about an hour and a half to the banks of the Arkansas River where we would be embarking on a new adventure...

White water rafting!

Our group survived!  And our guide had probably never experienced so many white water rafters in skirts!  Yes, it can be done.

Day 2:  Garden of the Gods.  This is an area of 1300 acres of sandstone formations and hiking trails.  It is so beautiful.  I would love to go back and spend more time here.

We were short on time so opted to drive around the Garden of the Gods.  We stopped along the road to snap a few pictures then had to head back to the hotel and get changed for service.

We got to church extra early to get a good seat.  The choir was practicing.

Out to eat after service.

Our dear friend Shauna is always so hospitable!

Next day after church we ate a Brazilian Steakhouse.  It was pretty authentic--great find!

More church.

Day 3 we hiked up the Seven Falls

Seven Falls is a series of 7 waterfalls that cascade down some rock formations.  224 steps to the top!

Listening to good preaching

Night service

This church has always been a blessing.  The message was "There's A Change A'Comin" and the preacher was very right.  It was a month later that God did a miracle for me.  I received my letter of acceptance into an RN program.  For so long I had waited and worked for that moment.  Out of 166 applicants, only 33 were chosen and I was one of them.  This was an incredible miracle.  Again God showed me that He can work everything out when I put Him first!
