This is a rather arbitrary post having no real subject. I downloaded 200+ pictures from my camera this week. These pictures had been collecting for a while and span a variety of events. Here are a few you may find interesting! :))

Weekend Church Events

Here are some pictures of our various church events over these last couple of weekends. We have had some really powerful services, but I never seem to remember to get out my camera during service! I will work on that. :)

Our youth department has been rehearsing for DOORS. They will be performing on Saturday night, August 7--don’t miss it! :)

Our Sunday school department had a FESTA to celebrate finishing another semester of excellent lessons! The children’s choir also sang Supernatural God—it was so, so cute. Below is a video clip of their singing. I had a 12 year old on the bass and a 10 year old on the drums. Alana kept us on beat from the piano! :))

Our music team has been hard at work. This weekend we put together a medley and it turned out so well. I was super excited. Next week the choir is taking a little tour and will be singing at another church about 2 hours from our city. We are taking a bus so it should be quite an adventure.

Last weekend we celebrated my mom’s birthday. Her birthday was on a Friday, the very day she and my dad did a study on CHOICES for our youth group. The youth honored her with a little celebration afterwards.

Children's Ministry Part 1, Noah's Ark

I love children’s ministry. I love teaching Sunday school, organizing special Sunday school events, and working with children’s choirs. It is very important to me that children understand the truth and that they cultivate a desire for a relationship with God. I also believe children need a place where they can feel loved, involved, and fulfilled.

I am really excited about the Sunday school program at our church. We have won entire families to God through Sunday school outreach and special events related to Sunday school. Here are some pictures of various Sunday school events we have hosted recently the first being a drama called Noah's Ark.

Baptisms

Since I have been back in Brazil, my dad has baptized 3 people in the name of Jesus! We are excited for Antonio, Dirleine, and Bruna.

Yesterday before choir practice, my sister and I shot a video clip of some of our musicians getting ready to play "He Is." Our percussion play and saxophone player didn't make it in the clip but here it goes:

Good-Bye Washington, Hello Brazil

I am back in Brazil for the summer! My sister Alana and I have just returned after spending 4 months in Washington working and going to school. We had a great time with our grandparents who just spoiled us! They even took us on a trip to Victoria, Canada—we had a great time! We went all around Victoria, had noon tea at the Empress Tea Room, went to the Bushardt Gardens, and then drove over to Vancouver to see the Olympic Torch cauldron. Here are some pictures:

We also enjoyed our time at Bro. Bow’s church. Bro. Bow had Alana and I organize a children's choir. Here are some pictures of First Pentecostal Church:
